Her Last Christmas

by Joan Serratelli

It was to be
her last Christmas
and she was
the only one who knew

The presents were wrapped
especially nice
and everyone got
exacttly what they wanted

The dinnner was made
it was especially elegant
and very delishous
that last year

The table looked gorgeous
the tree looked devine
and everyone commented
they had a really good time

It was to be
her last Christmas
and only she knew
her life would be over
come the new year

Either way, it's a nicely captured image. Nothing too heavy or complicated. It just works quite well.

Yes, well sometimes these thing need to "escape", it's very plausable, tidy idea, well writ.

It sounds like a beautiful tribute. A way we all probably wish to be remembered, for that one special day.
