you want me to humour you because you have no sense of your own by Vere Mantratriadyou want me
to humour
you because you
have no sense
of your own
but you see
that's just too bad;
I prefer to laugh alone
you're always begging
for things to be with
but at is where
I make my home
so you see
I take it left
when you insist
I should roam
sterile mouth and
empty heart
seem to go hand
in hand
so cleave me onward
and we'll both
pretend that we
truly understand
so you say
anything you can
despite knowing
that you can't
because any words
you say loud
enough are thrown
off as a rant
by the time
you've got it
done it's already
gotten old
and so maybe
next time
you won't be
quite so bold
then waiting to be
spoonfed they'll cram
it right down
your throat
and maybe
they'll read it
but they won't
hear a single
word you wrote 03/01/2009 Author's Note: heavily influenced by
vodka
and
the white stripes
in that order.
