One Woman's Wantonness

by Quinlan L Gibson

A prologue of caution;
Ladies beware, for the tale I tell
of a Heaven on earth that led into Hell…

Unloved and unloving this fair maiden lived.
None of desire, and none to give.
Alas, she followed her lustful thoughts
in search of pleasure and vowing not
to bother with love and all it contains
the heartbreak, hassle and strict restrains
of commitment; she wasn’t about to be
restricted in her raging beauty
and crave of physical satisfaction
without the inane interaction
of love’s involvement. “Why care?”
For only awhile she’s there.
There are no strings attached.
No soul-mate matched
with freedom to pursue her sexual gust
sans the worry of intimate trust.
This young, free girl consumed by lust
committing sin of distasteful disgust
Physical pleasure is intimate love
A gift to be given through the Lord above.
A special connection not to be abused
for selfish delights, yet she refused
the burden of bond and monogamy
for wanton lust thrown indiscriminately.
Rejecting thus, the ruling of matrimony,
eliciting repulsion less sympathy.
Her eyes were of a seductive blue
one could not simply look into
and see a soul for it was lost
under selfishness coated in deadly frost
which devoured her heart, keeping it locked
safe from the true love her actions mocked
the life with love we’re meant to lead.
Ladies beware, her lesson to heed.
Ample lips spilt passions sounds.
Tousled locks swept down around
her barren shoulders and clung to skin
a sweaty coat was covered in.
Night after night committing her sin
in voluptuous body displaying a grin.
Then one day her being changed.
Exhibited lesions and swelling pain.
Headaches, night sweats, fatigue and cough;
Rash, fever, chills and weight loss.
Through all of these changes a baby grew
inside her body to which she knew
nothing of until at last
her stomach bulged now a stigma attached.
Her baby girl was born one day.
Instant, immediate, right away
this mother gazed into baby’s eyes.
“This is love!” she desperately cried.
“I see it, I feel it, I know it now!”
“Please do not take what I have just found!”
She knew her end was very near.
She screamed the words for all to hear.
“Don’t take me now, I want this love!”
“I have too much to give thereof!”
She wept as her eyes filled with tears;
Then God came whispering in her ear,
“Your sinful lust, my child, you see
has led you to Hell’s eternity.
Your child will weep neglected of love
having no father to nurture of.
Conceived in sin and selfishness
will hinder her rearing on loving breast.
But you will have a job to do,
a guide for followers of a path, like you.
Show them their shame.
Present them the pain.
You reap what you sow,
now your soul must go.”

An epilogue of caution;
Ladies beware, this fate may be yours
Follow your lust, but through love’s doors.

Author's Note: In my Traditions class, which is the study of sin, Satan and Hell, the assignment was to create a flawed character sketch involving sin and revelation. This was mine. It begs to be expanded.

You did a good job of it! Isn't it thrilling to have a ministry of the justice of judgment fulfilled?

Ah but who is real sinner and who the sinned?
