thinking in Swahili

by Charlie Morgan

how do you spell nostalgia in Swahili?

first find the word that means, "remember'?
then follow that with tse-tse flies, malaria,
genocide, guerilla, forgotten, Congo, and
close the spelling with a question mark ? .

as time goes by you read Pogo in the comic strips;
and allows how we have met the enemy, and he is us.

nostalgia, you'll find, is a forecast for tomorrow.

Pogo, eh? i read him when i was too young to understand half of what was said. it's sad to re-read it now. though i get the humor, i feel so jaded

Geee- you can think in Swahihi? I have trouble thinking in English! Loved the last line, mainly because it is the truth. Themore things change, the more they stay the same Good write as usual. you are nothing if entertaining! Thanks

Ah Chaz. But isn't it comforting to remember that all the time this world, with all its many generations is but the coversheet on the book to come? Very well done, my friend. Highest marks.

That's one complicated spelling lesson!

I don't understand the Pogo reference, but I love the rest of this!
