Unloved Alone but She Loved Him

by JJ Johnson

He was loved but did not know
Would not allow the sight to see
Could not let go of fear to lose
Tried not to fall when tripped his shadow
Turned his back when faced with her
To see she was behind him all along
Redness filled his eyes with tears
Showing clarity beneath her flowing veil
For all he would be is nothing more and nothing less
Than the emptiness a heart unloved and loved
Can touch another without knowing in denial
She confessed to all, that he is blind
He could not feel what was never learned
Knowing for sure he was unloved, he knew, he knew
Not knowing how, unwilling to let go of pain
Denying pain blinder than love, he was loved
Seized the pain, love fell empty, felt alone
In stillness the flowing veil flew to him
Exposing secrets long since elapsed
When he was certain he was unloved
But was loved, was loved, was loved

It is sad to think that we're not loved! This is a very heartfelt and touching piece.
