Charlie, I disagree!

by Jason Wardell

Respectfully, as a human,
being seems binary.  Like
Yoda said, "Be or be not."
Or was that Hamlet?
Might have been Socrates.

Man, being is right out.
Lousy can't even be so
let's think about "doing."
That's easily subjective
from any perspective, no
doing human has ever done
lousy to at least one
lousy human being.

Maybe as a human thinking
one has stinking thoughts.
Hell, I know I have before
with even more in store
and that's just as a lousy
man writing a gol-darn poem!

And if Jesus could be
man you have to agree,
he'd swear like a man writing
incapable of rhyming.

Author's Note: In response to Charlie Morgan's a lousy job of being me. Oh and that one commercial for Windows or something where the guy clarifies that he is a human doing.

This is a great write Wiley. We are rarely lousy while doing something regardless of what it is. Since when we are "in the moment/doing" it is difficult if not impossible to be also judging what we are, who we are, and how we are doing. Only because we carry this mirror image of a mind or something like one that in retrospect do we ask that damnable question, "how am I doing?", "who am I?", and "why?". If someone walked behind us with a paint brush and a bucket of whitewash wiping out every thing done as it was done, we'd have lost our mirror and would be far less concerned about how we've done, etc. And I do love the write.

Hahahahaha. Nice build to a one-two-punch. But which four letter words would he use, eh? ...and would they be in English?
