Life is,
and then
and then
and then
it isn't
and while it is
and during the then
we race our way
towards goals
successes we don't need
victories no one will notice
like laboratory mice
and nothing
nothing
nothing means anything.
My heart pounds
my palms sweat
and I jump away
letting this pointlessness
fall away from me.
These so-called dreams,
these needs.
I can't see,
couldn't see,
rushed by too quickly
past happiness.
Life is
and until it isn't
it always is.
Slow down, stop,
and let it be.
