february sixteenth

by Ava Blu

i imagined a world last night
where the waves came to our windows
and forced us to sink or swim

i thought of today being my birthday
and the memories of a rollercoaster life
coming to a screeching halt

and i believe the only way out of this dream
is waking up beside you
on the one day that is hardest to smile on
yet easy enough when you're around.

I really like the way this builds up. Nicely done.

This is a wonderful piece. It says so much with very few words. Happy Birthday- I hope your dream comes true

You made me cry my Birthday Sister.
