Eros

by Jared Orlando

A huge array
Of love today
As others moan and scramble

A simple tool
For the loving fool
As an arrow takes a gamble

Here, a few
Who thought untrue
That butterflies would flutter

Between their hearts
Such Sfumato arts
That could mix without the clutter

As hands clasp
And mouths gasp
The bedroom's lost its peace

The two are one
An ancient pun
Ends in amorous release.

I told someone else today how I loathe rhyme schemes but again I found another I can swallow.
