Feb. 3 - "I don't really want to write" by Jason WardellI don't really want to write
because I lost my favorite pen,
my glasses have a smudge
and cleaning's far beyond my ken.
I really can't create
with all those books upon my shelves,
I've got a dozen mails to read
and these mines sure won't sweep themselves.
I think I'd rather go to sleep
than sit and try to force some verse.
To remain here any longer
will just make me rage and curse.
Though if I were to write a poem
it would need to be quite light.
A poem devoid of substance--
the best way to end the night. 02/03/2009 Author's Note: 11:40pm. Har, har, har.

Posted by Ava Blu on 02/04/09 at 07:00 PM i rarely ever want to write, but something makes me! i swear the $#%@ing words won't let me sleep or relax or think of anything else unless i get them out. |
