You have my heart

by Vikki Owens

Excuse me,
you have my heart.
I'd like it back.

I think you stole it one day
long ago,
when we were laying on the couch together
in your mothers basement
snuggling and enjoying each other...
I didnt notice it then
but you took it right from under my nose.

Now I see it bobbing along behind you
like a little red and blue helium balloon,
following you around
as you move from room to room,
tied on a string to your wrist
as if you were a heart-stealing child
at a circus for heart-broken lovers.

I'd get a knife and steal the thing back, if I were you. Heh. Awesome write.
