Debut

by Alison McKenzie

The sun slant sings of spring
Casting glad shadows
Into the morning window
This time of day
Brings a needed peace and hope

My newest wind chimes
Join the chorus
The cleansing wind
Sweeping away
The obsolete tendencies
That peppered the last two years

Author's Note: Mmmm, I love it when the first hint of spring peeks into the season!

Good thoughts and write Alison. Time to find the seeds and start planting again.

this piece seems filled with a native American tone for me, like a feather dancing on a dream catcher, it is filled with optimism and energy and a cleansing...and what a beautiful poem to read so early in the year...peace, jewels xxx
