a love poem

by Travis G Finborg

as the tears dropped
i forgot to say
that I have always loved her

I would give up my secure little life
come sweep to see her
to hear those words from her

each time i open the door
i think that if i walked long enough
i would come to her door
and i know i would walk long

I hope they appreciate the sentiment. You express it with sharpness and clarity.

Ah yes, how far would any of us walk to be with a loved one. Or to write a poem if we had to. Good thoughts.

Nice poem, Travis--pathos and vigor.
