"How Many Times Is Enough for Forever?" by Cristy M.A kiss in the absence of another's
and a gesture of absolute veracity
in the place of nothing
is no stead.
I harp on the hopefulness of another landing
on this barren moon
with its whipporwhils and its dandelions
all just rapid clips of imagination
because I have nothing here
meriting my attention.
Grant that this solitude is no salvation
and I eke and dig out the fibers
of all the willingness to be
keeping-on-the-keeping-on
star-trucking when the rocket fuel's dried.
For all of the rehersals,
at this I should be a pro. 01/24/2009 Posted on 01/25/2009 Copyright © 2024 Cristy M.
