Separatist Revolution

by Johnny Crimson

The beast leaned against the railing
his cigarette smoke braving the mid-winter night
and an air of lunacy filled the atmosphere.

And with one peculiar glance below he spotted her
prancing through the hotel corridor and almost knocking
over the bellhop. He knew she couldn't wait to reach him
Growing bored with that thought he flicked his cig over the balcony
and counted the seconds it took to hit the concrete streets below.

She called for him when she entered the room.
With no luck she glanced out the open door leading to
the banister outside.

She picked up the note left there

"ALL THE TIMES I'VE WANTED OUT, WHO COULD HAVE KNOWN IT WOULD ONLY
TAKE 4 SECONDS TO FINALLY GET AWAY FROM YOU"

Awesome, and another hell of a good ending.
