Sans Electronics by Vikki OwensWhat do you think?
Could we just talk tonight?
No tv, no internet, no blackberry?
Why, it would be like we dont even exist!
Except that we would exist in
our minds,
thinking, therefore, being.
Words that we would have to telegraph,
S.O.S's across the length and breadth of the bed,
we would find a way to communicate,
I have a set of tom-toms,
you were a boyscout, you know about smoke signals.
We would make do.
And what would I even say to you?
Would I have a single thought, that isnt an answer,
in the form of a question,
shouted at the television?
I think I would.
Yes. I know I would. 01/22/2009 Posted on 01/22/2009 Copyright © 2024 Vikki Owens

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 01/22/09 at 06:13 PM It's funny, when you realize how much a rarity that kind of time together can become. You make it something worth missing here. Nice. |
Posted by George Hoerner on 01/22/09 at 07:24 PM A window on reality given and accepted as is. We don't fight it near half as much as we should. And of course this site doesn't help except our 'text messages' tend to be a bit wordy. Nice write lady. |
