undisturbed

by Shy Leigh

Let it be
undisturbed,
quietly.

I hope that you
are
undisturbed,
(finally)

Found the remnants
in your
pockets
just one year ago.

Felt your presence,
smelled your perfume.
you are not
unknown.

Let it be
undisturbed,
quietly.

I hope that you
are
undisturbed,
(finally)

Author's Note: For my beautiful Mama who passed away July 28th, 2008 after a valiant four year battle with breast cancer. I haven't written poetry in several years, but these words just came into my head after she passed away.
