Tearing Down the Walls. The Breakdown of Society.

by Lizz Scott

When the sky is falling and there is no beauty to be found
When love is lost and mountains make you cry
When life mocks you and you're unable to lift yourself off the ground
Remember
Hold Close
Take comfort in your friends that have always been around

When the sun rises and your spirit falls
When your mind is uncontrollable and dangerously dark
When you really need to talk but no one answers your calls
Catch your breath
Hold your head high
I will stand beside you tearing down the walls

Author's Note: We are all alone to an extent. Some much more than others. Hold me. Share with me. Care for me. Love me. All we need is love. Original title was: The Walls of [Ingorance. Circumstance. Intolerance]. The Breakdown of Society.

Strong stuff, and you pull it in great style.

"Sky is falling... no beauty to be found" Nice read Lizz - thanks! I like the original title. Commenter's note: "The LORD is near those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit." Not completely alone. ;)

Yes, and we are all part of that society. And sometimes we are complicit in its failures as well as its greatness. We are all alone but together we can make it work. Good write.
