Rock

by George Hoerner

i am rock
and throw myself
at the world
breaking off bits
and pieces

no luster shines
no round smoothness felt
i scratch your hand
as you pick me up
and throw me
down the road of life

i feel the warmth
of your hand
as you let me go

I like that sentiment. It's captured so well here.

I can certainly identify with this. Perfectly worded.

Back and forth rolling we all spin together then crumble! I like this one! MFS
