Travelers

by Christopher Shin

Empty spaces and empty
moments I linger by.
I wonder when with all
these smiling faces
did I slowly become
part of this world.

I see the world I have never
had a chance to see
as they smile with
blank faces at my sullen
gaze.

I want to be them,
but more I want to
be like them.
I envy their nature.
Full of life but
full of interest.

I hate them for their
their desire to find the
world all around them,
and crave what
they took for advantage.

I hate them for their
simplicity of life,
and want nothing more
then my own demise
at their cost.

Well put in the last stanza. Very well put indeed.
