still time to fit in?

by Charlie Morgan

a coal cinder, i will tear-away from this life;
this life of tedium in activity and fade as comets.

and like an old woman, changing shoes, either pair will fit.
sensible, comfortable, in-expensive; no frills of fancies.

i'm blue today and that's that.

green: so yesterday! so bland.
and brown is the new black?

will oak change, velvet? a child's smiles?
is tomorrow's track paralleled by today's?

Great write Charlie. My how the colors of life seem to change almost on a daily basis. Two cloudy days in a row and my wife goes to pieces. It takes at least a month for me. But one cross word sends me into a 'black hole'. Take care.

"i'm blue today and that's that."--I like that a lot.
