Ode to Glacial Lakes

by Manas Moksha

Tempting fate to reveal itself
ribbons of life come full circle
in swirls they parachute
like elm flowers
they helicopter down
and twirl in cadence

Radiant crystal angels
dance upon amber eyes
glazed sincerity blisters
in the warm breath --
spoken

Softly and silently
a pillow emptied
a feather floating, fleeting
cradled by gravity's cupped hands
yoking a bridge

A seed from heaven
a kernal of familiar tears
wept
swept
off the butterfly's wing
and to the open pores of Earth
Awoke

Again and again
flakes of pure winter
piece together a quilt
of springtime fodder
under a platinum sky
silent

Tongue to heaven
mother nature's womb
serves communion

Tempting fate to reveal itself
the nectar of life
comes full circle
