Two Haiku (sort of)

by Roger J Kenyon

Crimson maple leaf,
cold water drops in fall
cool a fire within.

Stick careesed
by a wave undressed
smoothed by sand.

I enjoy the use of crisp sounding words in the 1st haiku, and then satin-y words in the second one. It really goes with the imagery.
