Becoming a Bore

by Joe Cramer

I open the door softly

Just a small crack

And peer in quietly.

In looking around, I lack

The forethought

To close the door behind me.

I know that I ought

To just view, to see

What is behind that door.

My life, you see, has become a bore.

I think we're forever at the mercy of the things that compel us to go against our better instincts. At least, that's what I get from this. Good stuff, man.
