Heated

by Deanna M Gritsonis

The snow falls silently outside
In the dancing fire light we are far away
Darkness tries to push in but our fire keeps us glowing

Taking it slow I reexamine you
Looking for the new finding comfort
my mind and tongue and fingers have traced over the years
Sighing heavy as you find those spots that tingle

Cracking of the flames
interrupt the sounds of us
we dance like the fire
wrapping into each other

Skin glistening from both fires
you cup my head and kiss hard
its comfort
its heated
its still new

laying in your arms laughing
still tingling
still pressing
holding tight in our heated bubble
keeping that darkness from creeping in
