Lessons I by Jessica A SteenbockA constant teacher
and a constant student
come together as one.
Me, marking myself as the student,
as I realize that you
are so much smarter than me.
So much I will have to learn
to make this work.
And I am eager to fill my heart
with all these lessons.
I have never been with someone
who challenged me so.
Who pushes me to talk
and be honest with you and me.
Learning the give and take
and the patience it takes
to understand someone.
The effort it takes to not be
so self-centered.
To take into consideration
another's feelings.
To understand that not everyone
is like me. 12/24/2008 Author's Note: I am finally with the person that makes me want to grow and better understand life and people. I have never been with anyone that has made me want to be the better version of myself, and I must say, it is wonderful.
