Rabbit Stew by Brian Francis
On the paths, we walk, while living our lives
We meet others intersecting each other in time
There are people of all colors, all kinds, all creeds
Honest, deceptive, brave, fearful, fair or mean
At times we pause, in interaction, a moment or so
Or walk on together before parting our ways
Each with a different path to go
Emotion's strong rip tides wash over our being
Affecting perception like a remedy gone awry
Joy and sadness rain on the soul in torrents at times
And shadows can dance intriguing the mind
The storms of emotion that haunt the nights
Gloom like a fog hiding comforts unseen
Passing along through the horrors and frights
Yet smiles are part of the paths that we walk
Warm feelings evoked through memory's eyes
Embraces of love a heart's solace and cure
Protection from all the painful trials of life
When sharing the path with another in hand
Bound firmly together each step of the way
In unison achieving what together was planned

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 12/23/08 at 05:07 AM It's good stuff when you find someone who brings that kind of energy out in you. So much powerhouse, well-done imagery in this, man. I really liked it. |
