although you hear
the sugar coating
i'm giving you gold
but you can't see through the cover
and you don't know how to read.
this is not your stupid birthday gift
wrapped in shiny paper and golden tickets
with silk and satin bows
an empty box that's left for you to fill
with whatever you wish,
i'm giving you choice.
this is not your average space between the seconds
where there are gaps
i put memories you didn't know you'd remember
until they were all you had of me,
and now you can watch my eyes
when there's a world between us.
this is not your average love
this is me.
