december eighteenth by Ava Blu
it's not for nothing
that you wear your hair in pigtails
and have leaves stuck to your face;
it's the final way of becoming
Mother Nature
and then choking on the breeze
as the leaves fall off.

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 12/19/08 at 05:21 PM I guess there's no sense in hiding, right? That's the idea I got from this, and I could be completely wrong. Either way, this is great stuff. |

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 12/22/08 at 12:28 AM Analogy of the simplicity suggested by pigtails and leaves on the face with Mother Nature. Second stanza indicates Mother Nature may not be so simple after all! Interesting balance. |
