One moment, reunited by Amanda BullingtonNow that you're gone
I can disappear into the abyss
Another figure in a sea of strangers
When you pass me on the streets.
Someday you'll walk by
And I'll smile a soft smile
The slightest rememberance
Of what we once were.
And your face will make that
Sad grimace, the tightening
Of your lips that maybe only
I have seen.
Our eyes will catch,
And for that one passing moment
Our thoughts will be united again.
And as you pass I'll look away
Without a word as we
Return to the sea. 10/06/2008 Posted on 12/17/2008 Copyright © 2024 Amanda Bullington
