all of astrology tells us
that there is someone better

a sign more compatible then ours

and you read all that could be bad
and i read all that could be good

our different histories tell us
if certain things happen

it is not meant for us

as i look to all our similarities
you look to our differences

though both are eternal pessimists
i realize the optimist in me

as you search for the reasons not to
i search for those that say we should
