This Day Ends

by Joe Cramer

This day ends like any other day,

The darkness comes far too soon.

Time flies by, ending in silence

Quiet tick, tick, tocking cloks on the wall.

Nothing new is ventured, nothing gained.

My surreal life simply remains the same.

Winter has arrived, without the Fall

As I sit here quietly, sit in remiss.

One day perhaps, I will leave this room

And into the world I will make my way.
