I'd Play In Your Head

by George Hoerner

if i were a poet
i'd speakspeare your love
and mesmerize your mind

your heart would skip a beat
when my words played
through your head

you'd feel the bubbles
in your brain
from that glass
of champagne

but soon the words
would glaze your eyes
and stars would shine
in all your skies

in the dawns light
you'd find the peace
as we'd put to practice
the art of love

while spring birds
sang there approval
at your window

George! You really do know how to make a girl's heart swoon.
