Hell's Bells

by Scott Utley

I fell two hundred thousand miles into inky blackness

I cracked my head

Jingle bells jingle bells jingle … jing …

I fell two hundred thousand miles into my ego’s barren landscape

And I heard bells go jingle bells jingle bells

jingle all the ... jingle ... all

I lived for another day and that was all I needed to survive

I was just about ready to throw my hands up into the air

When I heard jingle bells

Santa’s little helper is a marionette controlled by

The brightest light in our cosmos

Or anyone else’s cosmos

And He saved my soul from myself and I thought I think

What a nice man

If He will save my soul He will save anybody’s soul

Such a wretched man was I still am

Forgiveness is divine

Compassion is my favorite drug

Jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way

Oh what fun it is to ride in a one horse open sleigh eh

Ho Ho Ho
