Downpatrick Head by Peter Humphreysif I were to die
and be reborn
let me for seconds
fly as spume
above the storm
of crashing waves
beneath Down Patrick Head
and in the thermal currents rise
past gannet guillemot and 'wake
until the fields of green
catch me on their
sphagnum moss
and heather spikes
release me
to the wind
and rain
as I unnoticed
once again
return
where life
has left me 11/25/2008
