soon you'll be good at it

by Charlie Morgan

all people lie; i'm lying right now!

oh, you're not who you say you are.
you're probably a woman;
just dressed as a mailman.

you know who you are, YOU!
the beady eyes are not it;
it's the power-tie, name tag:

the license to lie, permission
to do so at their expense. lie.
lie, lie, lie.

go home: repeat as needed.

Interesting Charlie. I always told my kids the problem with lying is if you do it often enough you begin to believe your own lies.

I feel a very political pull with this piece. It rings true from the political system to the newsmakers...they say and report what they want ...or is it because its what we want to hear? (yep. this girl was at one time a fireman... let me correct that - firefighter) Hugs to you. Lots and lots of hugs, ~N
