Sensational TV by Eric HinkleWhile watching TV,
I have a sneaking sensation
of losing one brain cell
roughly every three and a quarter seconds.
I hear them go "pop!"
and they fizzle to their graves.
A billion graves lined up in rows
in the cemetery of my brain,
Section: "Useless Memories and Wasted Time."
I turn off the TV and rest my brain a moment,
picturing those cells jumping
from their glowing graves,
exclaiming "I'm alive! I'm alive!"
But I know that once a brain cell
has been slaughtered,
it is lost forever in the
trillions of rows
of unmarked graves.
