Sappy Love Poem

by Eric Hinkle

Your golden green eyes smile up at me,
matching the grin of your happy mouth.
Your lips pout up at me, desiring.

I lean in.

The two of us touch,
knowing it isn't quite close enough.
We are there in each other's arms,
knowing there is nowhere else we'd rather be.

Author's Note: I almost didn't post this. But, everyone needs at least one cliched, sappy love poem! There ya go.
