frantic/tangled

by Dani Rose

i pull at the seams, and i unravel.
i listen to you listen to me, and i unravel.

i tug-- it feels good, it reminds me of before.
the past is always familiar when it has yet to die.

i see a spark. i smell gasoline.
(i unravel.)
i'm going to burst if you don't fix it.

"you will, won't you?"

fix it,
fix me,
fix my past

?

do something.

i dissect it until it hurts.
i pick at it until it bleeds.
i tug until it gives in.
i breathe and
i breathe and
i breathe.

i pull at the seams, and i unravel.

You're not the only one, I assure you. Fantastic, fantastic work.
