The Glass

by Erin Jones

I’ve been looking at the glass
Half empty this whole time
Being depressed with the pessimism
Watching as each drop evaporates
Staring at this glass with one drop left
And suddenly it was gone
But rather than despairing over it all
I decided to look one more time
And suddenly realized I was wrong
It was just so full to the rim
That it looked like there was nothing at all

The glass does carry the stuff of live whether full or empty. It is what we do with it from rim to rim that matters. Nice write.
