All of me

by Christopher Shin

My soul is solid
as the world becomes
colder then the
winter that is soon
to come.

Friendships broken
and the bonds that
held them are slowly
torn from solutions
we thought would bind
us all along.

Death takes one
then many in my time,
and to soon if
I had a chance to say.

Love was gone when
I was born but who is
to say what is fair
and miserable in this world.

Sickness burns and
fevers swelters as
the last sweat
evaporates onward.

All that I am is
slowly gone cause
in it I am but words
of long lost.
