Indecision 08 by Elizabeth SeagoWoke up satisfied.
Your arms around me
Greeting the morning sun.
Leave before the light gets harsh.
Kiss the sleep out of my eyes.
Swear up and down you'd take kicks in the groin for me
And with my friends, you just might have to.
Said nothing could keep you from going after
The silky skin you fell back into.
Our hearts are heavy in each other's
Presence.
I'm still making sense of this.
I'd never imagined a kiss
Could make such a mess out of me. 11/07/2008 Posted on 11/07/2008 Copyright © 2025 Elizabeth Seago

Posted by Jared Fladeland on 11/08/08 at 03:46 AM the political reference in the title makes this cute little poem so much more complex, like sticking your hand in a puddle filled with piranhas, who only tickle you with nibbles. |
