They're the
fraudulent alpha males.
The ones who use straws
when no one is looking.

Those males in training.
Puffy chests appear
proportionately to the decrease
of true alphas nearby.

They try to command
all those around them
especially the waiters
because they have to obey.

Comedians to be
but nobody has to laugh yet.
Practicing until the spotlight
returns to the rightful earned.

Humbugs lurk in the shadows
pretending and perfecting
until the torch is passed
or the folly is realized.
