Linger

by Ernest A Miller

Always in this life there will be pain more unbearable then we ever thought possible.

But that is our condition our struggle that everyone of us battles with.

When we look into someone's eyes instead of fear or shame why don't we feel connection?

Why don't we feel not alone? Life is too short a blink of time and then we are dust and return to whence we came.

Fear is what binds us, that fear of knowing we will lose everything we ever touch.

Everything we have and hold dear will be for someone else or turn to dust with us.

So why fear, we were never meant to linger here my dears...
