Parallel Universe Dance

by Alison McKenzie

I can see it all so clearly now,
The breathing comes easy.
The heart is slowed to a reasonable rate,
Though I can barely feel it in my chest.

There is a disassociative quality about
The way the sunlight is streaming in,
Warming my skin in a whisper,
Touching my soul feather-light.

Walking the edge of dehydration,
I float just inside awareness,
Barely touching this reality,
But appreciating every nuance.

Like a man too full of alcohol,
I feel love to the very brim;
Awestruck by the enormity of it all,
The way my arms stretch ‘round it all the way.

Surrounded by my favorite music,
Singing a blend of such crystal clarity,
Breaking the vibratory barriers between the realms -
I dance a parallel universe.

Ah, you have found the truth through love not science. There are said to be many parallel universes out there or in there depending upon ones perspective. Nicely done Alison.
