studs terkel just died

by Charlie Morgan

my dog's staring at me; hoping
on more frito will drop-fall.

he's studs terkel on my chips as
studs was on society's mistreatment;
studs just died, it matters, that.

he would andy-rooney the reader
like andy woos the t.v. audience.

he shook the reader with reality;
a thought-police action, on-going.
exposing to those who hid their eyes

from the volume of common life's pain,
so his dance with ordinary took a seat.
