today, almost over October by Anastasia SelbyIt's 80 degrees farenheit
and the leaves look,
on the trees, as if
they've been softly rubbed with
waxy fingers,
they shine in the sunlights
as the wind quivers them,
I ride by slowly
the sound of my bike
in harmony with the cars
as they pass me,
people locked in their
sad boxes. 10/30/2008 Posted on 10/30/2008 Copyright © 2025 Anastasia Selby

Posted by George Hoerner on 10/30/08 at 08:01 PM I liked this. It is sad being always locked in our box cars. But that is what society seems to prefer. |

Posted by Jo Halliday on 05/28/09 at 03:43 AM Really, really beautiful. You paint the day and then the people who aren't enjoying the best gift they got, such a simple device, but then a device simple or crafty needs still the same skill to work: brilliantly said. |
