Nothing is more flattering
than taking my new table
painstakingly
through much of the menu
with features and descriptions
and having one of them
quickly
follow up with
a question
that was already answered
within the 2+ minute spiel
the guests and I
just had to endure
finally affirming
what I already knew:
You weren't really listening to me.
