How Strong Are You Now?

by Arianna Woods

Seven minutes since we kissed goodbye
Seven minutes since you smiled at me
Seven minutes since you left my car
Seven minutes, seven minutes too far

Twenty minutes 'til they said "he's gone"
The time it takes to make that one phone call
Twenty minutes in an ambulance
Is twenty minutes, twenty minutes too long

Three days for me to fall apart
Waking up believing the phone ringing was you
Three days and twenty minutes to cry when it was
Somebody else

[Nothing's supposed to happen
When our backs are turned
But the strong are heartless
And the weak get burned]

Seven minutes and the world can change
Seven minutes, is seven minutes
Too late

It's always amazed me, how little time it takes to make a world change. Powerful, very powerful.

It's been way too long since I've read your brainwords, miss. :]

Isn't it funny sad and funny strange how quickly our lives can change? Wow. I'm sorry, dear, but beautiful words here.
