In This Fictious Life

by Joe Cramer

In this fictious life

I still search for what

Is genuine, real.

My reality becomes fiction,

Feigned in my heart.

Over and over and over again

Why do I even begin?

Why is my heart

Constantly a contradiction?

In my supposed zeal

For love, I know that I ought

Not to have such strife.

Author's Note: ... I started off in one direction, then it went awry, ending up as an implosion poem.....
